Portugal stormed to a relatively straightforward 2-0 victory over Azerbaijan in their pursuit of a place in the World Cup 2014 finals despite being without star-man Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo, who traveled with the team, was suspended and therefore could not feature. Luckily for Portugal he was not required.
They took the lead in the 63rd minute after Bruno Alves once again powered home a header after his goal against Israel.
Hugo Almeida scored from a simple nod in the 79th minute to make sure of all three points after some good work out wide by Coentrao.
